The song in the episodes 'perfect day - mirium stockley' is one of the best I've heard, if only there were more like this. I watched this as a child, and it still has the same magic today as it did then. Bought as a present Rating:5 Bought for my son's Japanese neice by marriage. Evidently the whole family were entranced. There is talk of a mass visit to the Lake District by the family. I've since seen the DVDs and have got to say they are a delight. Magical. Now on DVD 14 of her stories have been brought to life, with the animation based on Beatrix Potter's illustrations. A great addition to your DVD collection! You meet her at the beginning of the stories, & see how she got her inspiration for the stories as she's out painting in the Lake District. Lovely, haunting music adds to the pleasure of the viewing. Unlike many childrens animations even the adults will find themselves glued to the screen. The voices are supplied by some very big names but you will only notice this afterwards. Your attention will be consumed by the entertainment. Fantastic value. A feature is that the DVD will play the titles through 3 times before automatically starting. So if you put the final episode of a DVD on you do not ned to rush to the remote to start it up again. This is guaranteed to become one of your childs favourites. Buy it - while you can.
