The genius that was Alfred Hitchcock made many,many films - not all of them brilliant - but this is as good a cross section as you can find. Any collection that contains "Psycho", "The Birds", "Marnie", Rear Window" and on and on cannot in any shape or form be called wanting. The quality of the transfers is not Blu-Ray but these films were made during the 50's and 60's - so what do you expect! The best - it must be "The Birds". The worst - "Torn Curtain" only because of Julie Andrews dreadful acting. The major omission - "North by Northwest". If you are in any way an admirer of Hitchcock, buy this - you will not be disappointed.

really worth the money when i brought this, i had not seen any of hitchcocks films apart from psycho before getting this, and i only dissapointed with about 3 of the films (family plot topaz and torn curtain) all the others were excellent. phycho, rear window, the birds and vertigo being the best ones of the lot. was really pleasently surprised by shadow of doubt which i'd was fantastic!

a bit dissapointed that north by northwest, strangers on a train, and dial m for murder were not included. but cant have it all i guess, would still recomend it though.

Hitchcock anybody?

This set of Hitchcock DVDs seemed promising and nostalgic. If you're over a certain age you will want to see again all those old Hitchcock films like, Psycho, The Birds and Rear Window. These three films are very good and brought back memories but they are very dated of course, especially the technology. The other films I hadn't seen before and I could take them or leave them. If you really want to see any of the films in this pack that you have seen before, then it is worth the money as, in their day, they were thrilling. I don't think young people would be overly impressed with them, although Psycho might be worth it for the shower scene alone.

Simply A MUST HAVE...14 Hitchcock movies which should please fans and passing viewers alike.It's impossible to review a set of
this size fairly suffice to say some movies you'll like more than others naturally enough.The selection here is wide and varied from ROPE to FRENZY THE BIRDS to TROUBLE WITH HARRY you get the gist something for everyone.Theres an excellent selection of extras on offer on every disc also.I bought this set at the local Zaavi closing down sale for 30 euro last year
I thought it a bargain then but look at the amazon price now even lower. If you buy this set you'll not regret your investment.

To review the master of suspense would be almost impossible to do,save that he was the master and to many (including myself still is) Each and every Hitchcock thriller always has more than one story to tell and they are not as predictable as you may think ! Enough said..buy all of Alfred Hitchcock's thrillers and you will see what I mean and don't forget to look out for the master himself in the films,very fleeting glimpses but they are there.
