Usually dispatched within 24 hours Customer Reviews (Average 4.0 from 2) : Underrated films by a master Rating:4 Very interesting set of three very early (and seldom seen) Billy Wilder's films, showcasing his ability to succeed in directing any kind of film genres. The fourth film in this box is the very dark DOUBLE INDEMNITY (unfortunately without any kind of subtitles). The others features are: THE LOST WEEKEND (english subtitles); THE MAJOR AND THE MINOR with an amazing Ginger Rogers (english subtitles) and the excellent A FOREIGH AFFAIR (english, french, german, dutch subtitles). Sometimes the past is the better ... Rating:4 Already familiar with Wilder's Sunset Boulevard I was curious to see what other features he had made. This Billy Wilder Boxset amazed me especially because of the film-noir Double Indemnity, but the other 'oldies' were also of suberb quality. This Boxset is truly worth every euro/penny... |
