Whether you are thinking of joining salsa classes or simply want to be prepared for when you end up in a salsa bar on a night out with friends, I think this DVD is the perfect way to get your moves! I found this step-by-step course so easy to follow and so much fun and would definitely recommend it if you want to learn some salsa moves on your own, with a partner of with friends or simply looking for a way to stay fit without having to leave your house! Best learn-to-dance DVD out there by a mile Rating:5 Firstly, let me just start by saying that most 'learn to dance' DVDs are rubbish. This one is not. Far from it... I was one of the lucky people to have had my grounding in salsa dancing from Chris and Jaci. I'm a musician and producer and for me, their style of teaching is the most natural and musical I've ever experienced. It just feels like fun and you don't realise you're learning until it's too late - you're hooked on salsa! The DVD gives you a really good insight into salsa dancing and if you follow through the lessons you'll have the basics and even some more advanced moves mastered in no time. They are really excellent teachers and by the end of the DVD you'll feel like you know them. It's not every day you get to learn salsa from the world champions, so if you're thinking of trying salsa then you owe it to yourself to give this DVD a go. Watching through this disc reminded me how lucky I was to have them as teachers for a while. I now teach salsa and believe me, there's nothing out there that can touch this. Get into salsa. WOULD HIGHTLY RECOMMEND THIS. Easy, fun and given me the confidence to try it for real! Rating:5 As a fan of Strictly Come Dancing, I ended up on a course with lessons from Chris and Jackie. Not only did they make dancing accessible, they gave me the confidence to perform in a dance show! As I couldn't keep the real couple, their DVD seemed the next best thing. The product is an excellent package, with six lessons taking you from basic Salsa steps to a full routine. It also comes with an accompanying CD of Salsa music, which I thought was a nice addition. Excellent for people like me who have a curiosity about dance, but lack the confidence to do it in public. My only criticism is the totally white background - you can't distinguish between the floor and the back wall which messed with my eyes a little. But that's just a minor detail of a tuition package that is well presented and superbly put together. Excellent for you or as a present...now where's the best Salsa Bar near here? |
